J.R. Kearney is the author of ‘The Sword Empire’ series. Born in Sydney, Australia, he spent most of his career doing blue-collar jobs, from retail to courier to labouring on highways. In his early twenties he dabbled with music and working in film, writing lyrics and scripts, before moving to stories. Inspired by Tolkien and Robert Jordan, and a lover of many RPGs, J.R.’s love of fantasy has always been a permanent fixture in his life.
